5 Second Rule

Privacy Policy

In short: the game has no server and no accounts. Everything you enter stays on your phone, and the developer never sees it. The one outside service the app talks to is RevenueCat, which keeps track of in-app purchases.

What you enter

That is all. The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location. Answers are said out loud at the table — the app never records or stores them.

Where it is stored

Your settings, team names, the results of finished games (team names, scores and the date) and the list of cards this phone has already shown are saved only on your phone, in the app's own storage. The list of shown cards is what lets the game avoid repeating them.

If iPhone backup is turned on, this small amount of app data is included in your backup to iCloud or your computer, like any other app's data. Apple operates those backups; the developer has no access to them.

When data leaves your phone because you chose to

Sharing. You can share a picture of the game result (it includes the team names and scores, and a QR code that links to the game on the App Store) or a link to the game, using the standard iOS share sheet. You pick where it goes — Messages, a chat app, social media. Once sent, that service's own rules apply.

Writing to us. "Write to us" in Settings opens your own mail app with a draft addressed to us. Below your message the draft already contains the app version, iOS version, iPhone model and the game's language, so a bug can be reproduced. You can read or delete those lines before sending. If you send it, we receive your email address and what you wrote, and use them only to reply. We do not add you to any list, and you can ask us to delete the conversation at any time.

Our other games. After a game, the results screen may show links to our other games. Tapping one opens its page in the App Store. Nothing is sent to us.

Rating the game. The rating prompt and the review page are Apple's own. What you write there goes to Apple and the App Store, not through the app.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple. The developer never receives your name, Apple Account, card or payment details.

To know which packs you have unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous ID created by the app, the details of your purchases (which product, when, in which country's store, the subscription status) and basic technical details such as the app version and iOS version. Like any online service, it sees the IP address of the request. It does not receive your team names, game results or anything else you enter in the game.

No ads or tracking

The app shows no ads, contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools, does not track you across other apps or websites and does not access your device's advertising identifier. It sends no notifications.

Children

The app is rated 18+ on the App Store. It is not directed at children and is not part of the App Store's Kids category. The optional 18+ packs sit behind an age question and a separate purchase. The app collects no personal information from anyone.

Deleting your data

Changes to this policy

If a future version starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
